• When do you start renting?
    • Answer: Each January we take reservations from previous tenants.  Previous tenants get first priority for the weeks of their previous rental.  Beginning on February 1, we post any available weeks and start renting on a first come first serve basis.
  • Am I limited to the number of occupants in this property?
    • Answer: Yes.  The number of overnight occupants is limited based on the number of bedrooms (3) and sleeping area (beds and bed types).  The limit is 7 occupants.
  • Why do rental prices rise each year?
    • Answer: Our costs of owning and maintaining the cottage increase each year.  We compare our costs from year-to-year and limit our price increase to no more than the amount of our cost increase.
  • Why don’t you book rentals a year or more in advance?
    • Answer:  Most of our tenants return each year for the same weeks, but do not want to commit to renting for multiple years.  We would not be able to give priority to returning tenants if we take reservations more than a year in advance.
  • Are pets allowed?
    • Answer: No, PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED.  Our cottage insurance does not allow us to accept tenants with pets.
  • Do I have to clean?
    • Answer: Yes.  You are requested to leave the cottage in a clean and satisfactory condition that is similar to that when you arrived.  We clean the cottage between rentals, but have limited time.  If you are unable to clean, please let us know in advance.
  • Can I arrange for someone to clean for us?
    • Answer:  There are cleaning people who work for a fee, but you must arrange for the cleaning and have it completed before your departure time, unless you make other arrangements with us in advance.
  • Is there extra parking available?
    • Answer: No. You can park 4 cars behind and to the side of the cottage.  There is no on-street parking in season.
  • Can another person check in for me?
    • Answer: Yes. Please contact us with the person’s name and when they will arrive.  Your account must be fully paid before occupancy.
  • Can I pay with a personal check?
    • Answer: Yes, but personal checks need to be received at least 30 days prior to occupancy.  No credit cards or debit cards.
  • Is a beach pass required?
    • Answer: No.  The private beach in front of the cottage does not require a beach pass.  We have guest access to the beach, but do not own the beach.  If you are questioned about why you are on the beach, let them know you are renting our cottage.  Please do not go on other private beaches to the right and left of our beach.  Our beach extends up to the fences on each side.
